Family Thanksgiving

We just got back from Red Deer this weekend enjoying the best time with my family. I haven't seen everyone for months, Scott hadn't met 2 of his nephews (JACK, OSH) and niece (GABBY). No one had seen him in over a year. It was so nice to relax and enjoy and yummy turkey dinner (thx dad) I didn't help at all, chased my kids around, chatted with everyone and ate. Thanks for such a great time.

Talia did the girls hair in cute piggie tails, they were all wearing shirts and jeans, but did we get a picture??? nope, I didn't. did you Tal?? (& we call ourselves scrapbookers?) The kids had so much fun with their cousins. Just reminds me how important it is to make the drive south, only a few hours--- and well worth the memories.

After the weekend we stayed the next day in Edmonton. Took the kids to West Edmonton and saw the Sea Lion Show, Cavern of pets, ice rink, waterfalls, etc... they were really so good walking around the mall. Only a couple little melt downs-- and Tagg disappeared in the aracade where mom couldn't find him....

They were so played out they fell right asleep. We got home last night and just relaxed today.... maybe tomorrow I'll unpack??

It was so great to see you guys, too. I don't envy you the drive, but I certainly admire that you do it and make it look easy with three kids! I decided that family time is definitely worth it because like you said, the kids just had so much fun together. I just need to learn to relax a bit. You helped me realize that it's okay for the "schedule" to be a little off when we're at grandma's house. Thanks, I needed that. xo, Jody
