Remembering Echo

Just finished a couple pages of summer 05. How much fun it was. I can't wait until we get to goto Echo Lake again. My journalling for the TADPOLE page says:

Mesmerized. Enthralled.Captivated. Enchanted.
simple things that bring us joy
Tagg’s joy at trying to capture tadpoles off the dock. My joy in watching him try. The tadpoles joy that he is unsuccessful ;).
Every moment here at Echo Lake is priceless. No phones, No rushing, No urgency, No stress. Just the Sun, the Lake & Family doing the mundane, the ordinary —like catching tadpoles....

There is something magical about Echo. Maybe it reminds me of when I was a kid & we'd drive the Going to The Sun road to Kalispell; buy a few American treats, play, shop, camp. Always so warm and fun.

That is what I want for my kids. A chance to get together with family and enjoy the outdoors with one another. Have fun, enjoy life and see a bit more of the country.

Personally for me Echo is my chance to relax--my soul's calm before the storm (literally-- living in Northern Alberta it is cold and dark those winter months; I am often alone with my kids while Scott works long days/nights). My time at Echo is to enjoy the sun, my world-sans stress, appreciate my children, build memories with my siblings and show love to my family. I am a better mommy, wife, friend, sister, daughter after my time in Montana.
