Here are some picts of the recent Memory Blocks I made. The photos here don't do them justice. They ended up looking fabulous!! I am just so happy. They are now on display at Keepsakes Inc. Carrie already has me booked to teach "How To" on March 30, 7P. Yipee. I used photos from our wedding. It made me feel so nostalgic.
Has it really been 8 1/2 years?? Time has truly flown by. I still feel the same-- madly in love with Scott. Sometimes I even get a little gag-gag & feel the occasional hot flash. OOHH he is a cutie. The best advice Bishop Baldry gave when he married us was "watch your words...you can not take them back. No matter how much you say "I'm sorry" unkind words can stain your marriage". Amidst all the flutterings of our hearts on that day, we both heard those words and have heeded them.
Children see the example of their parents and it does affect their future relationships. I once overheard Scott talking and he said "I treat Maurita like my Dad treats my Mom...." I am so grateful that his dad treats his mom like a queen. A QUEEN. no joke. That is the gift they have given to their children--each child knows how a spouse should be treated because they have seen it all their lives. It is the gift I hope to bestow on my children. I love that our children see Daddy being kind to me, even when I frustrate the hell out of him. He encourages, supports & values me. Giving me lots of XOXOXOX's
I look at our little Berkeley (WHO TODAY LEARNED TO WALK WITHOUT ME - ONLY PUSHING HER LITTLE PUPPY WALKER!) and I have many hopes and desires for her. For starters learning to walk--- but eventually to fall in love and have children of her own. I want her to find someone like her Daddy & expect him to treat her as a queen. I really don't want time to pass too quickly, but honestly the example of loving parents is one of the most important lessons we can teach her. It is something that will remain with her her entire life....The Tollestrup Legacy of Love.
