I am just so excited -- I've partnered with my Local Scrap Store, Keepsakes Inc. to offer basic digital classes. The first digi 101 is just about what to do with your photos once you've taken them; things like photo editing, organizing, sharing, web albums, blogs....there is so much info out there to share I'll only be touching on the basics, but hopefully I'll be able to answer some questions and get people moving towards confidence with digi stuff. The 102 class gets more into software, resizing, resolutions, bit more on blogs...
Truthfully I am pretty new at all this myself, but I sure would of loved to have someone help me thru some things. Just simple things. Thank goodness for the internet; I am up learning something new every night. [truthfully I am up till about 2am-- kids up at 6am, with Forrest up a couple times between that.... I think my body has just gotten used to no sleeping--until about 3PM when I need a nap---I've always been such a nightowl----though sadly Scott is just the opposite. He is usually asleep by 8pm (tonight even earlier) then wandering the house by 4am] My SIL Talia is always great to give advice...Speaking of which-- if you haven't signed up and you want to her "Goodie Box Girls Night Out" is nearly sold out (YEAHHHH!) I am so sad I can't go, but it will be fabulous {if you know Tal, anything she touches is amazing}. So if you are interested check it out.
With the digi stuff I am tagging along with Keepsakes to promote some digi options. Invites, Thank Yous, anything really. If you have any suggestions of stuff that might be fun. I was thinking about Blog Headers too, so a couple could have a blog about how they met, what they are up to, wedding pix, fun stuff.... not sure how to present that at the show??? I might just make up a fake blog site, then with my promo stuff tell them to check it out. Blog would be free for them, just charge for the header, add my links for cards, Robin's PhotoBooth, Keepsakes Inc............ooooh think I am onto something. ....Anyone with more ideas? What would you have liked pre-wedding & post. Things for me to think about. The show is only a week away so I'd better do something sooooon!!
Here are a few samples I did for the show. As I am just growing my portfolio I haven't much to show, I have purchased a few commercial licenses for digi products so I can use their products to make $$$$. One is my favorite designer--- So happy! The great thing about digi is once you purchase the supplies, they are always there for you, no running out.--my only problem is that I can purchase them 24.7 online; eeks this could really get me into trouble since there are so many things I love.
What do you think of the few samples for the wedding show? I'd sure appreciate any feedback or comments .....
