Happy Holidays!

Christmas 2006

Outside playing in the deep snow Christmas Day-- notice all the snow in our yard!!

'Tis the season... hope yours was cheerful and warm, cuddled up to people you love. that is exactly how ours was. exerpt from an email I sent (some of you have read this):

Here are a few picts of our Christmas. It was pretty low-key. Kids got enough, not a lot, but by the time all the little pieces come out of the boxes our tiny house was covered with paper, toys, cardboard. It has taken me all week to get it cleaned up. Mistakenly (but my choice) I made a big turkey dinner for Scott & I on Christmas Day, partly because we were both a bit homesick for family & partly because I like to have the turkey leftovers for meals....All that work, and all I got was chaos between kids, toys & cooking, a sore tummy from nibbling all afternoon, then chowing down, and today I threw out most of it. I guess I made enough for a family of 8-10 instead of us 2 (nope my kids wouldn't even touch that food). It was fun to lounge in our PJ's -- have done that all week. Kids & I have played outside a bit, but with their colds and all the new toys/games we've stayed relatively close to home for the past week... eeeekkkss. Haven't even driven my Durango since before Christmas.

Thank you to all those who are so organized and thought of us--mailing us sweet christmas cards, pictures, letters and emails. I wish I was more on the ball--perhaps you'll get a family letter in the spring when babe shows his face. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends & family. Sadly most of you are miles away, but we still think of you and appreciate your friendships & love. It just means time together is more treasured.

Have a wonderful Holiday Season and a Fantastic 2007!!! Ring in the new year with style (we'll probably be at home, sipping hot cocoa, playing rummy, and remembering the days when we actually went out and celebrated....don't worry we'll bang a few pots for old time sakes, if we can stay awake that long..... {you'd think we were old or something!}

From the sounds and look of it, Christmas was a blast for your little family. Love the snow, but somewhat glad we don't have it . . . just one more thing I'd have to get - snow clothes!!!

Kids look darling in their p.j's and you and scott look lovely too. One more month and you'll have 3! (oh the joys).

Merry Christmas you guys. We love you. Thanx Tagg & Berkeley, for the Mammoth that you gave Maddux. He and Jax love to play with it.
